CALLING ALL REBELS -- WE WANT YOUR PLAYS!
In anticipation of our 3rd Annual 10 Min Play Festival, RebelYard is now accepting submissions (April 1st - May 31st, 2013) for our upcoming festival to be held in Oct 2013.  Whether you're a recent grad, emerging artist, or established playwright, the 10 Min Play Festival is a great opportunity to share your unique voice on the stage. Don't delay. Send your 10 minute play to  10MinSubmissions@rebelliousstage.org with the subject line:  "10 Min Play Submission." 

We'll read all plays, but to improve your chances, please read and follow the guidelines below: 

  • Plays must be no more than 10 pages in length
  • Set and tech requirements must be at a minimal (no Broadway stuff)
  • Keep character counts low (no more than 8 should do it)
  • No musicals 
  • This is non-union and non-paid
  • RebelYard doesn't return submitted material, nor provide coverage
  • Plays should be properly formatted and sent via PDF
  • Deadline is May 31st, 2013
  • Please allow 4-6 weeks for us to get back to you
  • Only selected playwrights will be notified
RebelYard prides it-self on producing innovative and thought provoking work from a diverse and unique range of voices. That being said, we like to see work in keeping with our MISSION, and suggest you give it a look before sending us your work.   GOOD LUCK!

RebelYard welcomes Shannon Scully as the lead teacher for its upcoming Little Rebels Theatre Program (to begin July 11-August 3, 2012). Eric Suter and Adrianna Matthews will also be joining the Little Rebels' staff as volunteers.

RebelYard welcomes two new members! Iraisa Ann Reilly, who performed in RebelYard's performance of "Cocaine" has joined the rebellion as our Development Associate.  Latisha M. Jones is a new member of the Board of Directors.

RebelYard is now community partners with the Friends of the Free Library of Philadelphia.
We will be designing programs to teach children about the benefits of theatre!
